Berford & Co. City Express, Astor House, NY. There are four panes of this issue, 3 cent black, 6 cent green, 10 cent brown and a 25 cent carmin. A full pane is 49 stamps. Each pane is enclosed in a transparent wraping is is wrinkled. The 3 cent pane has one stamp removed from the bottom right corner. The same is true of the 6 cent, 10 cent and 25 cent. All have some damage on the edges. The 25 cent is in the worst condition and only has 25 intact stamps. These are listed in Scott, 11L1-1L4, values from $7.000 and higher. These examples are forgeries.
