Outer letter sheet from Macon, AL to Philadelphia has a pencil "1" or a checkmark (possibly) applied in Philadelphia as a carrier rate marking [due] for delivery from the mails. Street address suggests that the sender expected the cover to be delivered to the addressee. No year date. Calvet Hahn postulated that this cover, which is part of the Philadelphia Campbell trove, was carrier-delivered as were other Campbell covers that had carrier rates.
